The PhD program in Mathematics at Somaiya School of Applied and Basic Sciences ,Somaiya Vidyavihar University offers a rigorous and comprehensive educational experience fully aligned with the exacting standards of the University Grants Commission (UGC). This program is meticulously structured to cultivate independent researchers and future leaders in diverse fields of mathematical inquiry.The primary focus of the PhD centre for Mathematics is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of Mathematics in a globally competitive research milieu. Both basic and applied research topics will be addressed in this research centre.This Programme fosters research of a caliber comparable to leading institutions both in India and internationally. This PhD program represents a deeply personal and intellectually stimulating endeavor to push the frontiers of mathematical understanding.
